It’s Party Time!

Welcome fellow party goers.
Applesauce Cake - slice
Come on in.  Have a slice of my Mommom’s Applesauce Cake:
Oh wait. Some of you may not know about the party. This week is party week at 5 Minutes for Mom. It’s my second Ultimate Blog Party. Last year was so much fun; I had the chance to meet a whole bunch of neat bloggers. I hope you’re having fun meeting some new folks too.

Apple Raisin Fr Toast CasseroleIf you’ve stopped by in the morning, well, the cake is wonderful for breakfast too – toast it with a bit of butter. Yumm. But, if you’d prefer, you could try some of this delicious Apple Raisin French Toast

While you’re here, let’s chat and get to know each other a bit.
A bit about Unfinished Mom:

I live in Maryland with my two great kids and fantastic hubby. As you can tell from the name of my blog – I’m not finished. Like many stay-at-home moms -- I’m not an expert, but when I come across a good recipe or idea I like to share it. I’ve shared tips I’ve learned about keeping barrettes in fine hair and how we cope with picky eaters at our house. I love to find (and share) new ways to save money and live frugally, too.

There’s so much to learn when you’re a mom. I certainly don’t have it all figured out. Sometimes I’m not sure which is the harder part of being Mom – keeping the household organized or teaching my kids to be the people God wants them to be. It’s all a work in progress. What’s the hardest part of being a mom, for you?

In the next few weeks I’m planning to share some more great recipes I’ve found and a few things I learned when our kids were infants and toddlers.

What are you learning about being a Mom? I’d love to hear what you’ve learned. Introduce your blog or yourself and share your thoughts in the comments.

Oh! Don’t forget – there are some great prizes at this party. I really like the Collected Recipe Cookbook Binder (US27), but of course any of the Amazon gift cards would be cool too. But, my first choice would be a blog design (INTL 8); UnfinishedMom is due for a little redecorating.

Hello!
Stopping by from the UBP, and so glad I did! I love the title of your blog. I have a 3 1/2 year old and a 1 1/2 year old, and I've learned to cherish every moment. They grow too quickly.

Hope you have a wonderful party!

I'm visiting from UPB 2010. I enjoyed browsing your blog, the tagline (phil 1:6), the wonderful recipe for Apple Raisin French Toast, and especially your post about singing to you kids at night. That is something I use to do, but have neglected lately. It was a really good reminder that this, too, can be spiritual training! Thank you!
